It is no secret that Telluride loves to garden! Telluride’s gardens bloom with great variety throughout the summer starting with the crocus lifting up through dried leaves and even snow, encouraging us that spring is near.
In a letter to a friend, Harriet Backus, Telluride’s Tomboy Bride, recalls her days living up at the Tomboy Mine at the turn of the century…”the snow had fallen from the steep mountain and there was nothing to interfere with the flowers.” Gardens in Telluride are a tradition.
In keeping with this tradition, the Telluride Historical Museum is again hosting our Victorian Bloomers, superior quality Dutch bulbs for gardens and gift giving. This is a fundraiser for the Museum that promises to give back to you year after year!
Wherever your garden grows, we’d love to provide top-quality bulbs in time for fall planting. We will ship direct if need be, making gift giving a breeze!
By contacting us, we will be happy to send along an order form with a brochure the large selection of bulbs available for order.
Please call us at 970.728.3344 or email us at info@telluridemuseum.org for more information.
The Telluride Historical Museum gardens feature many native high altitude flowers and plants. Lovingly maintained by our dedicated group of volunteers, the Museum gardens bloom all summer long with plants once used by miners & their families. The gardens also contain a variety of large artifacts related to the mining industry here in Telluride. Please contact the Museum if you would like to make a donation towards the upkeep of our extraordinary gardens or are interested in renting the gardens for your event.
