Because normal airtime and roaming charges are not included, we recommend that you disconnect and re-dial between stops to conserve airtime minutes. Audio tour minutes are preserved while disconnected. Audio tour access is available for a 72 hour period after initial activation. For best results, use of a cell phone headset is highly recommended.
Additional charges are not common as most wireless plans offer unlimited weekend and a large number of pre-paid minutes.

Tour 1:
Delve into Telluride’s commercial district, full of colorful history & colorful stories. A well preserved area, many of these buildings played significant roles in the town’s evolution.
Tour 2:
Enter Telluride’s working world through the Denver & Rio Grande Southern Railroad Depot, working class ethnic neighborhoods like Finn Town & Swede-Finn Town, the warehouse district, the now infamous red-light district with the cribs of “Popcorn Alley.” The area is filled with considerable history and engaging stories.
Tour 3:
Discover Telluride’s highest concentration of historic residences from the late 1800s and early 1900s between Aspen and Davis Streets and hear memories of childhood, celebrations and pastimes in early Telluride.
Tour 4:
Study Telluride’s historic architecture through structures associated with individuals key to Telluride’s development. Included are St. Patrick’s Church and Telluride Town Hall. The tour is sprinkled with engaging oral histories from Telluride pioneers.
Tour 5:
Explore L.L. Nunn’s residence, the Cornell House, the old high school and smaller homes along West Columbia. Through oral histories you will also get a sense of life in early Telluride, particularly from a child’s point of view, and listen to stories about prohibition and the social fabric of the town.
Tour 6:
This tour allows you to select from any of the 102 stops in Tours 1 – 5, in any order and at anytime, over a 72 hour period.
