Fireside Chat: The History of Climbing in the San Juans

Ridgway’s Pete Davis presents the history of climbing in the San Juans spanning over 150 years including tales of explorers, miners, cowboys and more recently, some of the greatest climbers the modern world has ever known.

Telluride Historical Museum’s fall Fireside Chats are a series of weekly lectures held in the “Living Room” at the Madeline Hotel and Residences in Mountain Village as well as the Livery in Norwood unless otherwise noted. Norwood fireside chats are hosted in conjunction with the Wright’s Mesa Historical Society.
