“We can no longer ignore that voice within women that says: ‘I want something more than my husband and my children and my home.'” – Betty Friedan

Part performance and part Q&A, this living history event features “Gail Murphy,” one of millions of “Rosies” who went to work in industrial jobs to supply the front lines during World War II. After the War, many women had to relinquish their jobs to returning soldiers. Within a decade, inspired women stood up for their right to live and work in equality.

A FREE program in conjunction with the Telluride Historical Museum’s exhibit, Voices of Wartime: Telluride During WWII, on display through March 2015.
