A living history presentation featuring Chautauqua speaker Steve Lee, who will be telling the incredible story of Otto Mears: a man who immigrated by himself to the United States before he was eleven years old and went on to build a toll road and railroad empire in Colorado. Mears connected Telluride to the rest of the country with his narrow gauge railroad, the first to penetrate the rugged San Juan Mountains.
