Once again the Museum will host its annual Fourth of July festivities.
Free admission all day long and the sluice will be open.
Root Beer Float Fundraisers starts after the parade ends. $5 for a Smuggler Union Root Beer Float. New this year will be artist Brandon Berkel with his project Tell I Write Telegrams. Brandon will type out a personal note on one of his crafted postcards to send to friends and family near and far.

The Telluride Historical Museum is excited to announce the return of Historical Walking Tours with Ashley Boling. Departing every Thursday from the Museum at 1 p.m. visitors will enjoy hearing the stories and seeing the sites of Telluride’s most significant moments. These tours are $10 for Museum members and $15 for nonmembers and will happen rain or shine, so prepare for the weather.
The Museum has once again partnered with the Town of Telluride’s Historic Architectural Review Commission to offer FREE walking tours of Telluride’s built environment. This tour focuses on historic preservation highlighting homes and buildings which have been preserved. It explains what historic preservation is, why it is important, and how Telluride works to retain its charming character. The HARC Tours will depart from the Museum at 11 a.m. the first and last Friday of June, July, August, and September.

The Telluride Historical Museum has kicked off the process to create our latest 3-year strategic plan. As part of the planning process, we are soliciting feedback from the community via a survey hosted by Survey Monkey. The strategic plan will enable use to advance our mission by evaluating the impact of our services and programs.
