Our Summer Season is Just Around the Corner

Summer is rapidly approaching, and we are busy getting the Museum ready to welcome visitors again!  We are planning to open for the summer season on Thursday, June 3rd at 11AM.  From there, we are planning on having a “typical” summer in terms of our hours of operation.  We’ll be open Monday-Saturday, 11AM-5PM (Thursdays until 7PM).

We are excited to announce that when we reopen for the season, we will also be unveiling a brand new annual exhibit exploring the history of infectious disease, pandemic, and the efforts to combat illness.

The new exhibit is just the beginning.  We’re also planning for a summer full of programs and events.  Our summer programming gets started with our traditional Historical Walking Tours with Ashley Boling.  These will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday at 1PM.

Going forward be on the look out for details on our other summer favorites including our Hikes into History, Family Night at the Museum, Cemetery Tours, Feasting on History and more!

We hope to see you at your Museum this summer!
