After an incredibly busy off-season behind the scenes, the Museum is open for the summer! We’re very excited to welcome guests back, and even more excited that things are starting to get back to something that resembles normal. This year, we will be open Monday through Saturday, 11AM to 5PM, with extended hours (until 7PM) on Thursdays. Reservations will only be required for groups of 6 or more people, but anyone is welcome to book a reserved entry slot. If the Museum gets too crowded and we need to meter out admissions, those with reservations will be given priority entry. We will also still be requiring masks unless you are fully vaccinated. For more information on all of our updated visitation policies, please see the Visit page.
We hope you will come visit the Museum this summer, and if you do, you will also be able to check out our brand-new annual exhibit, Outbreak: Epidemics in a Connected World.
And speaking of things you won’t want to miss… We’re currently hard at work filling out our summer programming slate, and we’re happy to announce that we have a number of offerings confirmed. Similar to last summer, we will be offering historical walking tours with world-class raconteur, Ashley Boling, on both Tuesdays and Thursdays at 1PM. Additionally, to help celebrate the 60th anniversary of Telluride’s designation as a National Historic Landmark District, we are once again hosting free monthly HARC walking tours on the 2nd Friday of each month. In addition, we will also be offering monthly tours of Lone Tree Cemetery on June 18, July 16, and August 13. And finally, we can also confirm that we will be offering three Hike into History Programs this summer starting with a guided trek along the Bear Creek Trail in July.
As we begin to settle into our summer season, we again wanted to thank our amazing members and friends for their incredible support as we navigated the challenges brought on by the pandemic. There simply isn’t any way we could have gotten to this point without you, and we hope you’ll come and enjoy what the Museum has to offer over the next few months. We can’t wait to see you.
