Kiernan Lannon

Kiernan Lannon came to Telluride in 2015 from Smithtown, New York, where he served as executive director at the Smithtown Historical Society for the past nine years. A passionate advocate for public history and museums for years, Kiernan has a B.A. in History and Political Science from Marquette University and a M.A. in Museum Studies from Cooperstown Graduate Program. He has worked as an historical interpreter at the Naper Settlement Site outside of Chicago and at the USS Constitution in exhibit design and research. Kiernan is an avid runner and looks forward to learning more about Telluride’s rich history and enjoying the stunning outdoor playground of the San Juans.
